NSW Police revealed the demonstration had actually been allowed – with the state’s top cop admitting there had been a communication “breakdown” between police and the government over the rally.
More than 60 members of the neo-Nazi organisation, known as the Nationalist Socialist Network (NSN), demonstrated outside parliament shortly before 10am on Saturday, holding a large sign reading “Abolish the Jewish lobby”.
Dressed in dark clothing and sunglasses, the members chanted slogans used by the Hitler Youth.
