Michael Hudson — The Iran war changes everything: The world will never be the same

“…The US-Israeli war on Iran is transforming the geopolitical order, and could even unleash a global economic crisis. The conflict has caused the largest oil shock in history, disrupting markets and driving up fuel and food prices.

To better understand the implications for the world, Geopolitical Economy Report editor Ben Norton interviewed economist Michael Hudson, who discussed how Iran is challenging US dollar dominance and undermining Washington’s control over the global oil industry, which has been a key pillar of the USA’s foreign policy…”

Trump fired Bondi because she wasn’t corrupt enough: expert

“…President Donald Trump fired Attorney General Pam Bondi not because she did her job poorly (although she did), but because she was insufficiently corrupt.

At least that is the claim made by expert legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, who wrote for The New York Times on Thursday that Trump fired Bondi for a “bad” reason, namely her failure to effectively abuse her office to prosecute his political enemies. In September he blasted her publicly for failing to get convictions against former F.B.I. director James Comey, Senator Adam Schiff and New York Attorney General Letitia James, and The Daily Mail reported that Thursday he was also upset she notified Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), with whom she has a friendly relationship, about an impending investigation into his alleged relationship with an accused Chinese spy…”

War or War Crime: The Debate Intensifies Over US Strikes on Iran

“…Now, more than 100 legal scholars from leading institutions such as Harvard University, Yale University, and Stanford University have issued a stark warning. In an open letter, they argue that recent American military actions and official rhetoric may violate international law, raising the possibility of war crimes.

Legal Alarm Bells

At the heart of the experts’ concern is the principle of distinction, a cornerstone of international humanitarian law that requires parties in a conflict to differentiate between military targets and civilians. Reports of strikes hitting schools, homes, and health facilities suggest potential breaches of this obligation.

Particularly alarming was a strike on a girls’ school early in the conflict, which, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, resulted in significant casualties. The United States Department of Defense has acknowledged an investigation into the incident, with indications that U.S. forces may have been responsible.

Such incidents, if confirmed, could constitute violations not only of humanitarian law but also of international human rights law, especially if found to be indiscriminate or disproportionate…”

EXCLUSIVE: Exposing the FBI’s Human Experimentation Studies

“…The FBI’s decades-long experiments on twins dwarf the scope of deadly Nazi studies

Throughout human history, twins have been the subject of intense interest for outlandish experiments on humans.

The German Nazis’ deadly human experiments researching genetics ensnared approximately 3,000 twins, 1,500 pairs of people, during the 1940s, according to the Children of Auschwitz Nazi Deadly Lab Experiments Survivors.

Fewer than 200 children are estimated to have survived, according to an investigation into the twins of Auschwitz authored in 1992.

In America, a major gathering of twins occurs every year, and the FBI looks to take advantage of the large pool of potential test subjects who consent to its experiments.

The Twins Day Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio, annually attracts nearly 2,500 sets of twins, or close to 5,000 people, according to the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division 2025 Year in Review.

The FBI’s review said it has sponsored the West Virginia University Twins Day Biometric Collection since 2010, involving those twins who voluntarily participate…”

Mystery of scientists dead or missing rises to EIGHT as two more men tied to America’s most coveted secrets join the list

“…The ominous web of US scientists and lab employees who have died or gone missing continues to grow as two more cases have been linked to the disturbing trend.

NASA scientist Frank Maiwald reportedly died on July 4, 2024 in Los Angeles at the age of 61, but the cause of death has never been made public and officials confirmed that an autopsy was never performed.

Maiwald had been a prominent researcher at the space agency’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) since 1999 and worked on multiple projects tied to advanced satellite technology that could scan Earth and other planets.

In June 2023, just 13 months before his death, he was the lead researcher on a breakthrough that could help future space missions detect clear signs of life on other worlds, including Jupiter’s moon Europa, Saturn’s moon Enceladus, or the dwarf planet Ceres.

Despite Maiwald being a JPL Principal – an award given to scientists ‘making outstanding individual contributions’ in their fields – NASA has never commented publicly on the scientist’s death, and the only public record marking his passing was an obituary posted online…”

Italian antifascist gets 7 years in absentia in Hungary

An Italian antifascist militant, Gabriele Marchesi, on Wednesday got seven years in jail in absentia from a Hungarian court for being part of a German-led ‘hammer gang’ that allegedly targeted neo-Nazis on their annual Day of Honour in Budapest on February 11 2023 commemorating the heroic resistance of an SS regiment against Soviets.

Two other far-left militants, both German, were also convicted.

Italian primary school teacher, pro-squatting activist and antifa militant Ilaria Salis was saved from Hungarian justice in the case by being elected to the European Parliament for the Green-Left Alliance (AVS).

UNRWA head calls for probe into Israel’s killing of nearly 400 staff in Gaza war

“…The UN agency supporting Palestinian refugees wants an investigation into the killing of nearly 400 of its staff in Gaza, its outgoing chief has said.

Criticising an “extraordinary level of impunity” on his last day on the job as UNRWA’s Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini argued that Israel appeared to have “a licence to kill” in the besieged Palestinian territory.

“I believe that we need to have a … high-level panel of experts to look into the killing of our staff,” Philippe Lazzarini told reporters in Geneva on Tuesday.

The 62-year-old Swiss national condemned the fact that “more than 390” of the agency’s staff had been killed in Gaza since October 7 2023.

“Many others have sustained life-changing injuries or have been arbitrarily detained and tortured,” he said, adding that the killing of other UN staff needed to be investigated too…”

Why the Nazi Story in America Isn’t History — It’s a Mirror

“…When World War II ended, over ten thousand Nazi war criminals were estimated to have come to America. Dozens came through Operation Paperclip, which brought top scientists to America, including Wernher Von Braun, who later helped NASA develop the Saturn V rocket, which took us to the moon. Others arrived through more normal immigration systems like the Displaced Persons Acts or the Refugee Relief Act. America often knew these were war criminals they were letting in. The Immigration and Naturalization Service called on them, verified who they were, and then did nothing. Nazis that came to America linked up with the Nazis already here. They kept to themselves, seldom intermarrying because they thought almost everyone else inferior. Their children were raised by Nazis; what did we think they would become when they grew up?

The Klan and the Nazis mostly got along, but weren’t best buddies. The Klan occasionally reached out to the Nazis, but the Nazis thought of the KKK as idiots and kept their distance. The Klan supported going to war against Germany in WWII. They did have several enemies in common, including Jews, Black people, and communists. Another common foe that got them to join forces was the U.S. Government. The Civil Rights Movement and government efforts that ended segregation and empowered Black voters were too much. Then there were disgruntled vets, unappreciated on their return from Vietnam. In 1979, for the first recorded time, they killed together in the Greensboro Massacre, riding in a caravan of vehicles (in separate cars) and shooting up an anti-Klan demonstration, killing four. What happened then was a precursor to seeing Confederate and Nazi flags together in Charlottesville, VA, in 2017…”

Risk over human rights at World Cup: Amnesty International

“…With just over 10 weeks until kick-off, the human rights group said the United States, which will host three-quarters of the matches, is experiencing what it described as a “human rights emergency,” driven by mass deportations, aggressive immigration enforcement and restrictions on protests.

“There are huge risks around this tournament,” Steve Cockburn, Amnesty International’s head of economic and social justice, told Reuters.

“This does not feel like the World Cup that was originally promised, the safe, free, and equal World Cup and the inclusive World Cup that was promised eight years ago when it was awarded, but also maybe quite different from how it felt even just 18 months ago.

“It’s a deeply troubling time in the U.S., which will certainly extend to fans who want to take part in World Cup celebrations.”…”
