In this Tuesday, March 3, 2026 lecture, Professor Jiang analyzes the US-Iran War.

Hegseth Bans AI Safety, Three F-15E Shot Down by Friendly Fire
The Pentagon spent last Friday trying to bully an AI company that had dared to require human oversight of surveillance and autonomous weapons. On Sunday, automated air defense proved exactly why that company was right and oversight matters.
On Friday, February 27, 2026, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth designated Anthropic — the AI company behind Claude — a “supply chain risk,” a classification meant for foreign adversaries. The company’s offense was simply refusing Pete’s unwanted advances. He demanded they strip naked the safeguards requiring human responsibility for lethal autonomous weapons systems, and prohibiting mass domestic surveillance. Hegseth, infamous for arrogance and betrayal, called it “a master class in arrogance and betrayal.”
Emil Michael, the disgraced ex-Uber executive who was fired for acting like he was God and could control women (appointed Pete’s Undersecretary for Research and Engineering), called Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei “a liar” with a “God-complex” who “wants nothing more than to personally control the US Military.”
The demand made was to allow the AI to be used for “all lawful purposes,” with no exceptions. Anthropic said no because, Amodei argued, it is not reliable enough for autonomous lethal decisions under the law.
The Fine Art of Bullshit: Werner Herzog Between Fact and Fiction
The truth that Herzog has in mind is more like the truth of poetry than the mere facts and shared understanding that he mocks as “the truth of accountants.” As he put it in a 1999 manifesto, “There are deeper strata of truth in cinema, and there is such a thing as poetic, ecstatic truth. It is mysterious and elusive, and can be reached only through fabrication and imagination and stylization.”
The idea that an artist, even a documentarian, would mix fact with fiction is not quite so radical today as it might have been at the peak of cinema verité. Yet questions of truth and its relation to reality are more pressing and vexed than ever. Getting at deep truths by means of artful lies may seem less appealing or daring in the era of the deepfake. Herzog’s oft-repeated provocation that only the “conman, the liar who knew what he was talking about, would speak the truth” loses some of its countercultural appeal when the conmen move from the margins of society to the centers of power and bullshit becomes de rigueur.
Saudi Arabia arrested Mossad agents staging false-flag attack, Tucker Carlson claims
The allegations suggest that the operatives were planning false-flag “bombing attacks” intended to destabilize the region, allegedly to turn Gulf countries against Iran during the intense aerial campaign by the U.S. and Israel against Iran.
According to Carlson, intelligence services in Riyadh and Doha coordinated to detain the Israeli agents.
He framed the alleged arrests as a turning point in regional security, saying that Gulf nations are increasingly willing to push back against Israeli intelligence operations.
Mustafa Suleyman — Nature, humans, tools… and now a fourth class
A few days before OpenClaw exploded, I recorded a prescient conversation with Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI and co-founder of DeepMind. We talked about what happens when AI starts to seem conscious – even if it isn’t. Today, you get to hear our conversation.
Mustafa has been sounding the alarm about what he calls “seemingly conscious AI” and the risk of collective AI psychosis for a long time. We discussed this idea of the “fourth class of being” – neither human, tool, nor nature – that AI is becoming and all it brings with it.
Mapping Fascism — Global networks, power, and the rise of the far right
This report is an investigation by the Reactionary International and the Transnational Institute, and is accompanied by a series of essays on fascism as part of the State of Power report.
The New Authoritarian Wave
Far right and authoritarian forces have capitalised on global economic insecurity and political alienation to win elections. This map traces their electoral success, showing where far-right parties lead governments, shape ruling coalitions or are positioned to take power. It also tracks the main hubs and actors of transnational far right organising, represented here by the locations of transnational conferences and highlighting the key foundations and political networks that circulate funding, ideas and strategy. This has helped transform national movements into a coordinated global current.
Baba Vanga’s World War 3 and Nostradamus’ 7-month global war prophecies return amid Iran-US conflict
Baba Vanga also talked about a war in Europe
Some of Baba Vanga’s followers believe that the mystic also talked about a war that would start in Europe and lead to a significant decline in the population. Trump has said that the Iran-US conflict could last at least four weeks. This could lead to other countries getting involved, especially since Iran is also attacking countries that house US military bases.
Nostradamus predicted a seven month war
French psychic Nostradamus is also said to have predicted a great war in the year 2026. One of the passages from his book reads, “Seven months great war, people dead through evil / Rouen, Evreux the King will not fail.” This prophecy is also being linked to the US-Israel-Iran conflict. If the current situation explodes, it could continue for months.

One of Vanga’s most sensational predictions is regarding World War 3. She is believed to have predicted that World War 3 would kick off in 2026. Increasing tensions between global powers, the possibility of a Chinese takeover of Taiwan and a direct confrontation between Russia and the USA are some of the forecasts for the upcoming year. And all of it makes sense since geopolitical rivalries are already dominating headlines.

Why is Baba Vanga’s 2026 prediction of ‘World War 3’ going viral globally? (Jan. 10, 2026)
Alarming predictions for 2026: Disaster and conflict
- Vanga’s predictions for 2026 reportedly include:
- Natural catastrophes: Massive earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and extreme climate events affecting large regions.
- Global conflict: The outbreak of World War III amid tensions between major powers.
- Economic instability: A major European conflict and global financial disruption.
These warnings resonate amid current geopolitical strain, fueling online speculation.
Most victims in migrant boat collision in Greece had severe head injuries, diver says
A diver who helped recover bodies from a deadly collision between a boat carrying migrants and a Greek coast guard vessel says most of the 15 people who died had suffered severe head injuries, as questions mounted over the circumstances of the incident
[…]
The large number of casualties has led to questions over how the collision occurred. Judicial authorities have launched an official inquiry.
Evaggelos Kirithras, a diver who participated in the recovery of the bodies that night, told The Associated Press that when he arrived on the scene, he saw 12 bodies lying inside a semisubmerged inflatable speedboat. The vessel had not capsized, he said.
“Most of them had head injuries. I can’t describe how bad the head injuries were,” Kirithras said, comparing the injuries to the impact of hitting a wall. The diver said he has participated in other rescue and recovery operations with the coast guard in the past, “but this was the first time I’ve seen such force.”
Greece and France charge suspects in separate China-linked espionage cases
Greek and French authorities arrested suspected spies in separate operations this week, with both cases involving alleged transmission of classified military data to China.
“Deep roots are not reached by the frost” — Meet Italy’s Post-Fascists
At the European level, Fratelli d’Italia is part of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) parliamentary group but maintains strong links with both the European People’s Party (through Forza Italia) and the Patriots group (through Lega and close-ally Vox). This positioning places Giorgia Meloni in a uniquely advantageous role, allowing her to bridge the centre-right and far-right blocs in the EU parliament.
Overall, Meloni has capitalised on the legitimacy that figures like Fini and Berlusconi once secured for the Italian right, using it to normalise increasingly hard-line positions. While many EU observers were initially reassured by her moderate foreign policy stance and pro-Atlantic alignment, these gestures concealed a consistent ideological continuity. Her rhetoric, alliances, and domestic agenda have all revealed the true contours of her politics. Her strategy differs from that of her ally, Orban. Instead of open confrontation with Brussels, she has pursued a quieter consolidation of power, seeking to rally the three right-wing groups within the European Parliament to marginalise the left and shift the EU’s ideological centre of gravity further right.15
By quietly rallying Europe’s right-wing groups and isolating the left, Meloni is reshaping both Italian and European conservatism from within. Beneath the language of tradition, identity, and sovereignty runs an unbroken current of authoritarian thought, as shown from FdI’s domestic network. Its forms have changed; its roots have not. As the old MSI nostalgics and neo-fascists often recall, quoting J. R. R. Tolkien: “Deep roots are not reached by the frost.” The endurance of this political culture shows how Italy’s fascist legacy continues to nourish the politics of the present, making it a relevant contribution to the reactionary international.
